1. Do my referred guests receive some sort of discount at registration?

 

As a panelist for NORDESTE INVEST you have the right to invite partners or clients to the event with a 10% registration discount. It is necessary to forward an e-mail to Roseanne Café (gerex@aditnordeste.org.br) with your guest’s information (name, company, telephone and e-mail) so we can activate the registration. The discounts are not accumulative.

2. What time should I be at the event?

 

We recommend that all panelists have the maximum participation in the Conference, during all three days. Many of registered participants are interested your presence and are anxious to meet you. However, if this is not possible, we recommend that the panelist be present one hour before his/her presentation. This way, you will have sufficient time to receive instructions from the organizing committee and become familiar with the location.

3. How can I get my badge?

 

Panelists already have their registration separate from the rest of participants. Your badge will be sent to your hotel together with an information kit that you will receive when you check-in. When arriving at the Convention Center, please direct yourself to the panelist’s information desk in which the organizing committee will promptly guide you to the reserved area.

4. I lost my badge. What should I do?

 

In the event of loss or damage, please direct yourself to the panelist’s information desk situated at the entryway, with appropriate photo ID or company business card to solicit a second badge.

5. Who will provide airplane tickets and hotel accommodations?

 

Reservations, transportation and accommodation expenses are of the responsibility of the panelist and his or her company. The event will not be responsible for costs related to these items. The organizing committee is available to provide information, suggest options or suppliers requested by via internet.

6. What should I do if I’m late for the event?

 

If for any reason you may be tardy, please contact the organizing committee by calling +55-82-9444-1364 or contact a member of the organizing committee at the hotel help desk.

7. If I need to cancel my participation, what should I do?

 

If for any reason you may need to cancel, we kindly request that you nominate another member/representative from your company via e-mail (gerex@aditnordeste.org.br). This candidate must be able to speak in your place at the panel. The organizing committee will evaluate the viability of this modification.

8. What is the presentation format?

 

Your panel will include a moderator. This moderator is responsible to direct the discussion and certify that all panelists express their viewpoints. The organizing committee suggests that panelists have a telecom or e-mail discussion previous to meeting at the event to finalize any details. Each one of the panelists should send an e-mail to the moderator indicating 1-3 topics/questions that are linked to panel’s sub-topics to be considered during the discussion. The moderator will then revise these preferred points and select themes linked to the conference’s topics. It will not be necessary to have PowerPoint slides. All panels will be guided discussions. Each panel lasts around 50 minutes. This time includes participant’s introductions and a Q&A session. You will be introduced by your panel’s moderator at least 8 weeks before the event.

9. Is it possible to use PowerPoint slides during my presentation?

 

PowerPoint presentations will not be necessary during the conference. In extreme circumstances that you may need or wish to use this tool, please inform the organizing committee previously via email (gerex@aditnordeste.org.br) so that your request may be analyzed.

10. What is the auditorium atmosphere?

 

At the beginning of your presentation, you will be invited to go on the auditorium’s main stage. There will not be a head table. Instead, a lounge ambience includes a coffee table and chairs positioned center stage. Panelists should sit during the presentation and wireless microphones will be made available. Questions from the audience will be posed at the end of the session, with the exception of the moderator’s possible interruptions during such.

11. Will there be any changes to the agenda or timetable?

 

The organizing committee tries to minimize the amount of alterations in the event’s program to avoid any major discrepancies. However, some changes are inevitable. If there are any alterations that affect your time or presentation, the organizing committee will contact you immediately. New programs will be printed and available online for all participants. Last-minute changes are also immediately altered.

12. What is the dress code for the conference?

 

We request that all participants present themselves in formal business attire.

13. Where and when should I retrieve my Certificate of Participation?

 

The Certificates of Participation will be available at the event’s administration office from 14:00 Hs. on the 12th of May, 2010. If you wish to receive such certificate, please send an e-mail to gerex@aditnordeste.org.br; to which we will send via airmail 30 days after the event.
