Starwood Hotels to attend Nordeste Invest 2010

One of the largest hotel groups in the world, with approximate 982 properties in more than 100 countries will be represented at Nordeste Invest 2010, which will occur in May in the city of Natal. Ricardo Suarez, vice-president of development for Starwood Hotels & Resorts will be one of the panelists in the International Conference and will be speaking about investment opportunities in Brazil specifically for hotel chains, as well as Starwood’s future plans within in the country.

In Brazil, the group owns six developments: Sheraton Barra hotel & Suites, Sheraton Porto Alegre, Sheraton Rio Hotel & Resort, Sheraton Sao Paullo WTC Hotel, Four Points Curitiba and Four Points Macae. Starwood is owner of brands such as Westin (luxury), Four Points (mid-scale), Aloft (mid-scale with young and modern profile), Le Meridien (hotels focused on art), St.Regis (luxury), Element by Westin (the chain’s green brand), and The Luxury Collection (historic arquitecture).

Nordeste Invest includes an International Conference, Real Estate and Tourism Exhibition and Business Round. It all happens on the 10th, 11th and 12th of May in the Rio Grande do Norte state capital, Natal. Registrations to participate in the event can be made on www.nordesteinvest.com.
